During the month of May, the school schedule will be altered for SOL testing.  Please click on the following links to view:

The After Graduation Committee wants all Seniors of the Class of 2013 to know that this year's event will be held at GMU's Freedom Center in Manassas the evening of graduation, June 14,  from 11:30 pm-5:00am, June 15th.

The after-grad party is an all-night event for all BHS graduates designed to give our seniors a safe, drug-free, alcohol-free place to celebrate the night away, reminisce about the past and plan bright futures! 

There will be swimming, games, prize give aways, live bands, a bungee run, photo booths, sketch artists, a casino room, a visit from a local Captain Jack Sparrow, tons of food and beverages to enjoy with breakfast being served in the morning when we draw the name for the grand prize winner of a CARIBBEAN CRUISE FOR TWO! 

Tickets will be on sale during lunches the two weeks before graduation. Each senior who attends will also receive a free day of play at Pev's Paintball--a $45 value, making their $45 ticket quite a value!

Battlefield HS will offer a variety of academic enrichment camps this summer for high school students including:  Art Drawing, Art Painting, College Prep, and Math SAT Prep.  Additional camps will be held for middle school and   elementary school students.  For more information please visit www.BattlefieldSummerCamps.org

The United States Naval Academy Admissions Office will present an information session about the application process, nominations, academy curriculum, life at the Academy, and career opportunities after graduation.

Battlefield High School's  Spring Blood Drive with Inova Blood Donor services, will be Thursday, May 30th from 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM.  The blood drive will be held in the Auxiliary Gymnasium.  Students 16 years and older may sign up online at inova.org/donateblood.  Click on Schedule a Donation and then click on Donate Blood, and use sponsor code 6509 or stop by the sign up tables during lunch.  Every student who would like to donate blood must  return a signed parent permission form to the clinic prior to May 29th.  (Download here)  If you would like additional information, download the Spring 2013 Blood Drive Flyer or stop by the clinic before or after school or during your lunch shift.

There is an important change in how you will get your AP scores. This July, your AP scores will only be available online. You will not get scores in the mail. To get your AP scores, you must sign up for a free College Board account at www.apscore.org. We encourage you to take this step now, then remember to keep your username and password in a safe place! If you've ever registered for the SAT or participated in other College Board programs, you may already have a College Board account. Try signing in at apscore.org to find out. PWCS, in conjunction with the Virginia Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers, will host two college fairs for high school students and families: September 30th at Stonewall Jackson High School, 7:00-8:30pm and October 22nd at Forest Park High School, 6:00-8:00pm.  Seniors, juniors, and their parents are encouraged to attend.

Battlefield High School's National Honor Society provides free peer-tutoring on Thursdays, from 2-3, in Room 1124.  Tutors can assist students in reviewing notes and assignments and studying for test or quizzes.  All students seeking tutoring assistance should bring their notes, books, or assignments with them.

Effective 09/18/12, PWCS has updated the high school transcript fee guidelines.  Please contact the Counseling Center if you have any questions.

Students planning to take the SAT and/or ACT during the 2012-2013 school year should be aware of important security enhancements that have recently been added to these tests.  Read the SAT and ACT identification policies so you are prepared for test registration and on test day.

Two distinct summer reading programs are available to Battlefield High School students.  One program is available to all PWCS students who would like to earn extra credit over the summer for the first quarter of 2013-2014, and the other program concerns students with summer assignments who will be enrolled in Advanced Placement or Pre-AP courses in the Fall.
